We work with teens and adults, including individuals, couples, and families. Clients come with a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, OCD, eating disorders, trauma, self-harm and other high-risk behaviors, and difficulty managing emotions. We also offer parent coaching and consultation for other clinicians and organizations.

The first step is a free 15-minute consultation call. This gives us a chance to talk about what's bringing you to therapy, answer any questions you have about my approach, and see if we're a good fit before scheduling a full first appointment. You can request a consultation through the Contact page or by emailing scohen@wisemindcollective.org.

Wise Mind Collective is a virtual-only practice. All sessions are held securely online, so I'm able to work with clients located anywhere in New York or New Jersey, wherever is most convenient for you. We are looking into in-person space in the near future- Stay tuned!

I use evidence-based treatments tailored to each client, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Radically Open DBT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, trauma-focused approaches such as Cognitive Processing Therapy and Prolonged Exposure, and specialized treatment for eating disorders, including Family-Based Treatment and CBT-Enhanced.

I don't bill insurance companies directly, which allows me to focus fully on providing individualized care without the constraints insurance panels can place on treatment. Many of my clients have out-of-network benefits: upon request, I can provide a monthly statement (superbill) that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement, depending on your plan.

Fees are discussed directly with me and depend on a few factors, including client age (child/adolescent vs. adult), type of treatment, and session format (individual, group, or parent coaching). Please reach out to discuss rates for your specific situation.
